ABOUT Sun City Center Tai Chi
Practicing Tai Chi can reduce the risk of falling, reduce body tissue inflammation, ease depression, lower stress, and improve sleep quality and cognitive abilities.
The SCC club practices Tai Chi in a non-aggressive way for health and exercise. The 108 movements - done in a slow and meditative state - build body strength, balance, coordination, stamina, and body awareness.
The club has been meeting since 1997 when practices were held in the Rollins Theater building. Some of our current members have been honing their own skills and encouraging new members since 2006. After 25 years of instructing the group, Mr. Kenneth Faulk retired. The position has been filled since 2022 by current Instructor, Sandy Danielson.
